Meals at Rainbow Hearth Sanctuary & Retreat
When you stay at Rainbow Hearth you are welcome to dine with us for all of your meals. We serve three meals a day. We select only the finest organic and natural foods to ensure the very best flavor and nutrition. Nourishing the body should happen without hormones, pesticides, and insecticides common in typical non-organic food and that is how we feed our guests. Rainbow Hearth honors food in the same way we honor nature! Our quality ingredients and delicious original recipes commonly receive great praise from our guests.
We are proud to offer our meals at a fraction of the cost you would pay at any typical restaurant. Rainbow Hearth can easily accommodate most diets including vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and juicing and fasting diets. Please notify us at the time of booking if you would like to dine at Rainbow Hearth and for special dietary needs.
All meals are created onsite by our caring staff. Please reserve your space at least two days in advance so we may adequately prepare for your arrival.
Medicine Rock
Reflection, Prayers & Healing
Thunder Ridge at Rainbow Hearth Sanctuary & Retreat may have been used by indigenous people as a ceremonial site. It is now known as the Medicine Rock.
A sophisticated seventh-generation medicine woman described the ridge as “the most energetically supportive place” she has ever experienced – second only to the Chartres Cathedral in France. Many people who have visited, report life-changing insights.
Typically, the usual procedure is for visitors to invoke a prayer for insight about some aspect of their life and then sit quietly and meditate (i.e. LISTEN). The response is different for everyone.
Religious preference should not be an issue, there is no specific affiliation. Spiritual leaders from a variety of religions have visited this place, including ministers, priests, nuns, medicine people, shamans, and Buddhist teachers…
You will find it to be a place of peace, insight, and deep stillness. You are invited to spend as much time there as you would like, during your stay at Rainbow Hearth.
Pet Friendly
Your Furry Companion is Welcome at Rainbow Hearth
Rainbow Hearth is welcoming when it comes to pets. In fact, there are several resident pets onsite, both cats and dogs. Our pet friendly bed and breakfast offers a unique opportunity for pet owners to share their adventures with their best friend. You can actually save money by bringing your well-behaved furry companion vs. boarding them while you are away.
We welcome pets at $13 per day, per pet.
Besides lounging with you in your room and on your deck, there are plenty of activities to enjoy with your pet, including walking, hiking, swimming, and enjoying the shoreline.
However, we do have rules to ensure the safety of not only you and your pet, but our guests and staff as well. It is important that you familiarize yourself with all of these rules and abide by them.

One of the highlights of staying at Rainbow Hearth Sanctuary & Retreat is enjoying our well-maintained hot tub. Situated above Lake Buchanan with an adjoining deck, it is the perfect way to melt stress and pain away while you are at Rainbow Hearth.
The Spa Room provides a panoramic view of the lake and Hill Country further enhancing your nature retreat. Kick back and relax while the warm waters and powerful jets work their wonders on your muscles and mind.

Rainbow Hearth sits on the waters of gorgeous Lake Buchanan. From our property you can swim, fish, boat, and more. Simply bring your suit, rod, kayak, or canoe and enjoy the lake just a short walk from your suite. All of this is at no additional charge.
We also have several lakeside decks you can use to sun bathe, read, or watch nature from. It is a dream for those that love to photograph and watch wildlife with a front row seat.
If you would prefer enjoying the lake on larger watercraft or indulging in a guided fishing tour, there are service providers within close proximity of Rainbow Hearth.
Onsite Library
Enjoy Books, Games, and Cards
Our Library is located just off of the dining room. There you will find a variety of books, games, cards, and even some art supplies!
In the main lodge you will find a guitar that is available to use. Enjoy making or listening to music by the lake. It is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
These are all available for use by our guests at no additional charge.
Free Wi-fi
Internet Access
We also offer free Wi-Fi via Starlink, which is available at our main lodge and most of our suites. However, if you are unable to get a signal in your suite, you are invited to come to the main lodge to get a signal.

Rainbow Hearth sits on seven acres of raw Texas Hill country land that has been lovingly tended for more than 4 decades. For those that like to hike and explore nature, it is a thrill to wander through this pristine land.
Photographers love the opportunities to capture images of wildlife and birds of all sorts. It is truly a unique experience to enjoy nature as Mother Nature intended.
