Blue Heron Suite

This cozy and welcoming suite is situated in front of an inlet where statuesque blue herons wait for fish and deer come to drink at dawn and dusk. The soft colors and comfortably appointed rooms encourage guests to surrender to the peaceful surroundings. A private entrance leads directly onto a spacious, shaded deck that catches a cooling breeze most of the year. Enjoy sweeping views of Lake Buchanan as you catch a glimpse of the graceful blue herons, bright red cardinals and elegant white egrets.

The master bedroom offers a king Sleep Number bed and walk-in closet. Read your favorite novel in one of the living area's comfy recliners or the day bed, journal at the window-side writing table, or stalk birds [and their songs!] in the huge trees around the deck. ["Birder" guests often tell us they see more birds from there than out on the reserves!] Before bed, relax in your soaking tub as illuminated stained glass artwork bathes the room in a soft glow.

Easily accessible for guests who have difficulty with stairs.
